A couple of people have taken the time to make additions to the guestbook associated with this page.  Allow me to share them with you.

I came across some good linkage during my visit over there.

Then.... We also have a disgruntled visitor who took exception to the Brahma's response to a published letter to the editor.  My response was taken in the literal sense, despite other obvious intentions.  A person named, Dana from San Francisco bothered to say:

Wow, how liberal of you to call a woman an "ignorant slut". You are a disgrace. I live in San Francisco, where liberal means being open minded. I argue fact with fact. You are a pig. If a man had a different opinion, would he be called an ignorant slut? I am embarassed by you.

Dear Dana;  Yes....he would be treated in an equal and irreverant manner and the same phrase would be appropriate.  Why, you ask?  Allow me to give you a clue.

There was a time....(albeit almost 30 years ago!)....that Dan Akroyd was funny!  Yes... it's true, so help me!  One of his reoccurring sketches was based upon the 60 Minutes segment called, Point/Counterpoint, with Shana Alexander arguing the liberal view and James J. Kilpatrick doing the same for the conservative.  Every Saturday night for at least three years, Jane Curtain would frame a cohesive argument and Dan Akroyd would berate her by begining his argument with the following:

"Jane...you ignorant slut....", before stating his view.  Sure...it was in the ancient times before the "political correctness" police would take exception to humor.  If something fails to amuse them for any reason....then NO ONE can be amused.  You, Dana, (or Beth...whatever) have apparently patterned yourself after these self-righteous, humorless, guardians of moral authority.  I have pity for your sad, dry life.  It's my belief that in these serious times, anywhere one can derive laughter from can be a positive influence.  Lighten up....learn to take a joke.

Now "Dana", since you didn't have the huevos to leave a return address, you might be interested in the "Contact" button to the left.  You can contact the Brahma through a site that hides your e-mail address!  Either way...my only recourse will be to respond in this forum.  You "live in San Francisco where liberal means being open minded"?  Now THAT'S FUNNY....!  I lived in San Francisco way back when....when that statement could be said with a straight face.  Before the "limousine liberals" drove their BMWs into town and chased the real people away.  Before it was populated with condo-owning N.I.M.B.Y.s (not in my backyard) that prefer to sweep any unpleasantries out of view.  Spare me your self- righteous indignation, Sourpuss.
