Who's Surprised?

I heard on the radio tonight, the Bush league government has announced that the U.S. budget will be run on a deficit for the first time in four years. No mention of rolling back the tax break given to the richest 1% of the population. Apparently, nobody has a major problem with this. It's business as usual with a 70% approval rate....STILL!
I remember reading something about trying to boil a frog in a pot of water. If you turn the heat up full blast right away, the frog will jump out. But if you put very little heat on at first, then very gradually increase it, the frog won't notice and will be boiled. That is what's happening to to us. Step by step, inch by inch, we're being played the fool.
And where, pray tell, are the voices of dissent? The ones with the most to lose, the youth of America, they of boundless energy...
Where are they? They're standing in line waiting for the next Star Wars crap, they're watching Ozzy, they're skateboard champions!
Meanwhile...back on REAL reality T.V.......the stock market is now lower than Osama could lower it after 9/11. Major companies are having to 'fess up to the lies and manipulation of BILLIONS of other people's money. The Vice President was doing the same thing when he was with Haliburton, we now know. The President was involved in insider trading in 1991, it's been written.
Starting back at the "fuzzy" elections of 2000, the future is being hijacked, from a world that doesn't care.
